For those of you still waiting for your yarn, do not click the photo unless you want to see the yarn up close and personal and have the colours revealed to you!
I can't wait to see what everyone does with these yarns - I am working on the River Rapids pattern and have one pattern repeat done so far on the leg. I tried with size 2 US DPNs but it was too loose so I have gone up to the size 2.5 US DPNs and so far, so good. Don't forget the exclusive discount for the ART WALK members if you need a set. You can find them here and if those run out, I am taking pre-orders here which will have a wee wait time for the needles but I will get them out to you as soon as I receive them (about a week or so).
I'm already planning for November and have another surprise up my sleeve so stay tuned!
P.S.: Invoices went out today for all those who were clubbers for October - appreciate payments by October 15 or close to that date so the yarn can be planned for November 1's mailing. Thanks everyone for making this sock club so much fun!

Kate and I got our yarn yesterday and the skeins are similar but different enough to make them interesting. The yarn is gorgeous. I haven't had enough time to let it speak to me as to what it would like to become. You know the yarn always gets to choose.
Too cute on the yarn choosing...I totally "get that"!
I love the colorway Roxanne!! But a small favor please - can we go back to the smaller skeins. I have an extremely large lampshade that I use as my swift (have never had a skein too big for it) and it was too big for it. I had to get my sister to help me wind it and it took us over 30 minutes.
Hi Suzanne...I'm kind of stuck on skein size to what my electric winder will produce, however, please send me an email at zenyarngarden AT yahoo DOT com and I'm happy to wind it into a yarn cake before it leaves my house! I am already doing that for one clubber. It'll save you the hassle of winding. :)
I love the yarn and the colorway. I picked it up after work, but had another place to be before home and it sat on the front seat of the car, where I kept petting it.
BTW I haven't seen my invoice for next month and I'm wondering if I missed it?
Hee hee...someone read my mind...they are going out today. Thanks for the reminder :)
I was in a new yarn store today feeling overwhelmed by the sensory overload of wanting to feel every skein of yarn I could get my hand on. As I roamed around the store trying to decide what to purchase (and subsequently what to make with it)...all I could think of was the comment I had read earlier this week of "the yarn always gets to choose" - the statement is so true it made me burst out laughing right there in the store.
LOL Jessica...it's so true isn't it? I thought yarn only spoke to me...LMAO!
