I just finished my first pair!

I made my socks in the Beatrix pattern that I found at Socktopia. I love the way they turned out and like the painting they have little hidden interesting points. From the front:

Plain old, pretty as they are, socks but if you look a little closer:

I can't wait to see what everyone else comes up with.

I am in the middle of my second sock. I am using the monkey sock pattern and they are coming out quite different. The first one has thing stripes of color that spirals down the leg and onto the foot. Very cool. The second sock has wide stripes that appeat to be spiraling down the cuff. I think I started in the same place so they would sorta match and they are the same size so it's a little weird. Still beautiful, though.

Beautiful socks Johnna...nice job...lovely! Donna - hmmmmm, I think I've heard it recommended to start at opposite ends of the hank to have more similar socks, however, I do know my dyeing and some hanks are going to be different from the others in terms of variation in colouring and placement of the colours. I'm glad they are still cute though!
